Return – Rewild – Reroot – Rewire

coming home to what matters

11/16/2025

Welcome to my new website, friend.
This space marks the beginning of a shift—one I’ve been quietly working toward for a long time.

For me, this season is about returning to the time-honored traditions that shaped my family for generations. We are third-generation cattle farmers, and the land has always been our teacher. Somewhere along the way, I realized that the wisdom I grew up with—rendering beef tallow, using whole plants, crafting simple remedies—wasn’t just “old-fashioned.” It was medicine. It was beauty. It was sustainability. And it was a way of living that made sense.

So here, at Sunshine Homestead, you’ll see the heart of those traditions woven into everything we make: natural tallow skincare, herbal blends, farm goods, and the lessons our grandparents never wrote down but lived every single day.

But this journey is also about learning to rewild—to remember the parts of ourselves women were encouraged to soften, hide, or ignore. I want this to be a home for women to return to their wild ways, to gather in a space where they can be both seen and safe. A place where we reclaim our intuitive wisdom, reconnect with nature, and remember that our bodies, our instincts, and our stories are sacred.

To do that, I’ve needed to rewire.
Social media began to feel like an assault on the senses—a constant barrage of noise, comparison, and urgency that left me drained instead of inspired. So I’ve made the choice to step back from those platforms and root my presence here, in a space that feels calmer, more intentional, and more honest. This website will be our gathering place, our hearth fire, and our shared journal.

And finally, I want to reroot—in herbalism, in homemaking, in the traditions that honor slow growth and deep connection. I want to bring back the kind of childhood where kids are invited to be involved, not merely entertained. Where learning happens with dirty hands, curious questions, and real responsibilities. Where families grow together, not around screens.

This is the beginning of something tender and true.
Thank you for being here with me as we return, rewild, rewire, and reroot—together.

Let your days be full of sunshine. 🌿☀️
